Subject: Win Affiliate Contests With Pre-Selling

This is our fifth lesson on how to win affiliate contests. In this lesson, youre going to learn how to use some cool pre-selling techniques to increase sales, even when the products own sales page isnt ideal.

Ideally, youll get a review copy of any product you promote so you know the product inside and out. You should study the product carefully and then check out the sales page to see if it does a good job of accurately presenting the product to potential buyers.

Maybe youll notice that one of the key benefits isnt mentioned in depth on the sales page. Or maybe it focuses too much one a minor feature that you believe your audience wont be as interested in. You can be sure to mention things like this in your emails and other promotional materials in order to help your audience better understand the product.

Another great pre-selling tool is the webinar. Webinars are fantastic for presenting information about a product in an interesting, interactive format. Just keep in mind that a webinar should be at least 90% content and only 10% selling. Otherwise, people will just leave. No one wants to watch an hour long commercial unless its 3 oclock in the morning and nothing else is on.

A good webinar teaches some of the information presented in the product, and also includes the products creator/owner. Youll want to have the product owner present to answer any questions about the product that may crop up, and to draw viewers to the webinar. If you cant get the product owner to be present, you could still hold an informative webinar, but you may not get as many viewers as you would if you could get the creator to show up.

You might want to schedule multiple webinar times in order to catch people in different time zones. You probably have a diverse audience from around the world, and youll want to try to include as many of them as possible.

Be sure you keep to your scheduled time. Dont be late! If youre late to your own webinar, people will start to leave and may not attend another one in the future. If the product owner is late, start without him or her. Try to keep people interested until they show up.

Those are just a couple of great ways to increase sales with pre-selling techniques. Using such tactics can help give you an edge over your competition, and just might propel you to the top of the list in your affiliate contest.

The bottom line is that not everyone can win affiliate contests. You wont win every single one you enter. Even the big super affiliates arent guaranteed to win. But if you use the lessons youve learned, youll increase your sales significantly, and that makes you a winner no matter how you look at it!
