Subject: Win Affiliate Contests With Consistency

Consistency is key in just about anything you undertake, and thats definitely true when it comes to winning affiliate contests. You cant expect to send out a single email or put up a single blog post and win that contest. Is it possible? Sure. Im sure there are some super affiliates with lists large enough and active enough to win a contest on a single email. But many will send out one email and rest on their laurels, confident theyll win with that single message.

And that is precisely what gives you the chance to swoop in and take first place!

See, a lot of affiliates just seem to take it for granted theyll win. Heck, many of them may not even care about winning, because they can just buy the top prize a hundred times over with what they earn promoting the product, so they really dont put a lot of effort into it.

You can do things differently, though. You can put a lot more effort into your promotions, giving you a better chance to win even if you have a smaller list.

Winning affiliate contests isnt just about the size of the list, although a big list certainly does help. Its about the entire process from start to finish. Its like the tortoise and the hare. The harethe super affiliatestake if for granted theyre going to win. The tortoisepeople just like youcan win by being consistent and spreading your promotions out over a variety of different tactics.

For example, you should start long before launch by warming your list up. Maybe you could post a review of the product after asking the product owner for a review copy. Maybe you could just announce that the product is coming, and go over some of the features and benefits to get people excited. Really hype it up before launch.

At launch, youll want to be right there waiting so you can send your list a message immediately. Dont wait! If you dont send out an email the minute the product officially launches, you risk other marketers stealing those potential sales from you. Remember, the people on your list are probably on several other lists, and you dont want to risk those marketers getting YOUR sales.

Youll want to send out a follow-up email or two, as well. Dont think your job is over once you send out that launch email. A reminder or two will help boost sales from people who either didnt see the first message or werent ready to buy at that time. Maybe they didnt have the money, or they were busy and didnt have time to go through with the purchase when they first received your email. A follow-up email will boost sales from those people who didnt buy the first time.

In our next lesson, were going to take a look at some ways you can use bonuses to increase conversions and sales, as well as build a list while promoting the launch.

Be sure to watch for it!
