Title: Creating A Killer Pinterest Profile

Hello,

The most important thing you can do to attract followers on
Pinterest is to properly optimize your profile, but that
involves a lot more than just uploading a photo.

For one thing, you should be careful that the name you
choose doesn’t sound spammy. It should either sound like
someone’s real name, ideally your own, of course, or it
should be your business or website name. You can also
include some keywords in your name (not your username, but
the actual name that shows up on Pinterest) to help people
find you.

For example, you could make your username:

Jane Smith - Blogger, Internet Marketing Specialist, SEO

You could also make it something like:

Fishing World | Fishing Tips, Bass Fishing, Catfishing

Also, you get a section to describe yourself, and you
should include keywords there, too. Just do it in a way that
doesn’t appear spammy, because people won’t follow you if
they think you’re a spammer.

Be sure to include keywords in your name and your description
as early as possible, because those that appear first are
given the most weight as far as the Pinterest search engine.

Your profile picture should either be your real photo, a stock
photo that looks like a real person, or your website’s logo. If
you choose anything else, a lot of people will think you’re a
spammer. Using your own real photo is best, because if people
have seen a certain stock photo before, they’ll assume you are
a spammer.

Finally, be sure to go through the steps to verify your
website or blog with Pinterest. This is important, because
people will see you as being more legitimate if you have
a verified website attached to your profile.

Tomorrow we are going to take a look at some ways to gather
even more followers, so don’t miss it!

Until then,
