Subject: Types of Bridge Pages

In the next lesson, you learned a little bit about what bridge pages are. Now its time to take a look at some of the different types of bridge pages, and what each type is used for.

Squeeze Pages

Squeeze pages are probably the most well-known type of bridge page. They are used for collecting leadsusually email addresses, but sometimes phone numbers, mobile phone numbers for SMS text messages, or even postal addressesthat can be marketed to time and time again.

Generally, squeeze pages offer a lead magnet such as a free report or educational video in exchange for the visitors contact information. These pages are usually a short sales page with either a video or a list of important points regarding the benefits/features of the lead magnet, along with a subscription box to collect the leads.

Review Pages

Review pages are meant to offer additional insight into a product through the form of a review. This type of page usually reviews only one product. If there are several reviews on a single page for similar products, its more akin to a comparison page than a review page.

Reviews are generally anywhere from one paragraph to a couple of pages, depending on the complexity of the product and its price. (More expensive products are likely to need more in-depth information to convince people to part with that much money.) They may also feature photos or videos.

Comparison Pages

Comparison pages are similar to review pages, but they compare multiple products against each other. This may be done through multiple reviews on a single page, or through a visual table that shows the benefits or features of each product with checkmarks or other graphical elements that indicate which features each product has.

Pre-Sell Pages

Pre-sell pages are especially useful when the sales page for a product is lacking in some way. Perhaps it doesnt focus enough on a particular feature that your audience is interested in, or it is lacking in detail (such as retail sales pages), or maybe the affiliate simply has a different angle theyd like to present.

Pre-sell pages are especially useful if you find a great product that has a sales page that isnt converting well. Even the best products need a great sales page to close the sale, and pre-sell pages give you the opportunity to turn a less-than-stellar sales page into a great moneymaking opportunity.

These are the most common types of bridge pages used by affiliates. There are other types of bridge pages, too, but for affiliates, these four are truly the Holy Grail.

In our next lesson, were going to look more in-depth at some of the reasons why you might want to use bridge pages, and how you can use each type to the greatest advantage for your affiliate promotions. So stay tuned for the next lesson!
